L'ultimo giorno dell'anno è da sempre un po' diverso da tutti gli altri 364 giorni.
Il rito degli auguri, inaugurato poco prima del Natale, raggiunge il suo apice in queste ultime ore dell'anno che se ne va.
In alcuni paesini della mia provincia da alcuni anni si rinnova una tradizione antica: dare un definitivo addio all'anno passato "bruciando la vecchia", un pupazzo di paglia e stracci che rappresenta, appunto, l'anno che ci si vuole mettere definitivamente alle spalle.
