John Denver il cantore della wilderness, a me tanto caro, accompagna il post di una camminata sulle nostrane country roads (forse meglio hill's trails).

La traccia Gps è divisa in due parti, perchè non ho trovato una mappa che comprendesse i due pezzi di territorio .

Motto della Capretta (681 m.) - Torretta presso San Bernardo (817 m.).

La scelta della Today's hike is the result of the Easter lunch with my brother Eugene, during which Alessia, her daughter, Laura, his granddaughter, with her partner Andrea agreed to for the first time (loro. ..) and the legendary tricky ( for me ...) up to the motto of the goat that had seen me last year fall prey to a crisis by apnea and sore legs. Per fortuna durante la salita ci sono due brevissimi tratti, quasi in piano, dove si può tirare il fiato. Il sentiero funge anche da traccia di confine, come ci viene ricordato da due cippi segnalatori, tra i comuni di Boca, Prato Sesia e Grignasco.


Proprio in un tratto meno ripido, incontriamo un folto gruppo di "camminatori" che sono già di ritorno dalla cappella di San Bernardo verso la quale siamo diretti anche noi. Salutiamo e scambiamo due convenevoli (e ne approfitto per rifiatare...)

E poi ancora un tratto duro prima di sbucare in una zona meno alberata da dove percorriamo gli ultimi metri prima del motto della Capretta. I giovani che ci avevano preceduto vi si sono soffermati a aspettarci e così, grazie anche ad una coppia di escursionisti, ivi trovati, che ci hanno offerto l'aiuto per uno scatto fotografico, eccoci immortalati tutti quanti assieme, compresa la signora behind us.

Non ne sono sicuro, anche perchè sembrerebbe, a notare dalla conformazione uniforme della copertura e della struttura muraria, che faccia parte di un tutt'uno. Ma potrebbe essere pure frutto di una ristrutturazione più recente. Bisognerebbe che qualche titolato conoscitore di queste zone, leggendo... il mio blog dia le corrette notizie riguardo a questa costruzione. Il ricongiungimento avviene nei pressi del sentiero che porta direttamente a San Bernardo. Ritroviamo i nostri tre baldi giovani seduti ad attenderci.



Ed ora tutti assieme, baldanzosi, sulla strada del ritorno. E poi,dopo il bivio per la Pelosa, a sinistra e Isella ,a destra, sul sentiero che riporta alla Capretta.

Ed ora la discesa,velocissima, tutta di un fiato, in fila indiana, verso la fine del sentiero 777 che ci riporta alle macchine. Nell'ultimo tratto mi sono permesso di staccare tutti.... (Purtroppo non ci sono immagini che documentano ciò!...) Collaudo riuscitissimo!

Per finire un doveroso omaggio a quei pochi lettori che hanno avuto il coraggio di leggermi fino alla fine... Dalle mani di Alessia un grazioso omaggio!
