Qualora mi rendessi conto per il futuro che mettendo qualche fotografia di tale scempi potessi muovere non dico la coscenza degli ecologisti (poichè questo è naturale) ma l'interessamento degli addetti ai servizi comunali allora lo farei. (devo prima conquistarmi una presenza visualizzata in internet da parte di chi può agire...) La salita della Cumiona la affrontiamo con passo lento, poichè il giro che faremo oggi sarà abbastanza lungo.
La natura che ci circonda emana un profumo intenso di fresco e di verde. La fioritura delle piante, anche quelle più comuni e che a volte non degnamo di uno sguardo, è nel suo massimo splendore. Ecco ad esempio come il Sambuco ci offre le sue bellezze. 
Dopo la cappella, la strada si appiana per un breve tratto, prima di affrontare un ulteriore strappo che porta in territorio " Montalto " là dove è ancora attiva una cava di estrazione argilla e dove nei primi anni settanta era stato individuato il posto per attivare una discarica....... C'è voluta la sollevazione della popolazione delle due frazioni di Vergano e Santo Stefano , interessate perchè allora quasi ogni sua famiglia poteva vantare di avere un vigneto da coltivare nella zona della Cumiona, per fare smettere quello scempio. Curiosi di arrivare al punto in cui la strada è stata interrotta al passaggio, ci avviamo in direzione di Gargallo. Incontriamo un paio di anziane signore di Soriso che conoscono Gianfranco perchè partecipano alle attività della Università della Terza Età di Borgomanero di cui lui è attivo collaboratore. Con loro ci soffermiamo a chiacchierare presentandoci (noi tre che non le conoscevamo) e venendo così a sapere che la strada è interrotta per una frana appena prima del "Cascinone", in quanto loro stavano arrivando proprio da là. Affrontiamo la discesa, asfaltata, che porta verso la valle del Pergallo (per noi è il Sizzone) e giungiamo presso il punto in cui si stanno già effettuando dei carotaggi di infiltrazione di cemento per sostenere la riva che sta smottando verso il fondo. 
La foto successiva riprende il percorso della frana, ma non dà la giusta percezione di quanto sia ripida la riva e quanto sia effettivamente pericolosa e suscettibile di ulteriori peggioramenti se non si interviene sollecitamente. 
Certamente i lavori andranno avanti spediti, poichè questa strada tra breve sarà percorsa da tanti "fungjat" che si dirigeranno verso Chepoli per poi disperdersi tra i boschi alla ricerca di porcini e compagnia bella.......
Ultimata la discesa asfaltata, ritorniamo in piano e sullo sterrato là dove inizia la valle the "Sciscion" that will flow to Vergano, Baraggioni then fill with those most close to the former colony solar. Dopo poco siamo a casa di mia sorella Mariuccia e vi troviamo anche l'altra sorella Rosanna in compagnia di Angioletto e dei nipoti Piersereno ed Alessandro.
