Non sono Paganini... perciò mi ripeto! Infatti la camminata che andrò ad illustrare con questo post si può dire that is the same as "Sgambati Pelosi." I still qualify Pregalina Sas, who is the other name by which it is known this "little summit" to have a minimum of differentiation ... For me, however, is of particular significance. It 'was my first outing with the brothers Arnaldo and Eugene that I was literally "forced out" from the chair of my computer for me to do a bit of gymnastics motor, to inaugurate a period of "walking" after the first retirement leisure. After this we had a good year for walks in our woods, until we were diverted to the body to repair our "engines".
As a soundtrack I chose this song, the last roll of Pearl Jam, which is close to the atmosphere so much of the soundtrack to Into the Wild (film and music beloved by me) to feel it almost an appendage.
thus inaugurating the series of posts dedicated to walking in the park of Monte Fenera, as I had anticipated and promised. The base map on which are already found in red flight paths, which is the official editing and publishing my last article I highlighted. Ours is colored blue to distinguish it. As usual, for a closer look, click on it and enjoy the route. (Remember to click on the blue arrow to return to the post, not the red X to close ...)

insert photos that are not, unfortunately, much, because they are taken from the movie, with the camera, then I used to do at each exit. The quality of the extrapolation from the film (although it's in HD) fell sharply and you will know if we brutally cliccaste above. I will try to involve you making you partakers of our steps, inserting images obtained from the National Cartographic Portal, with the installation Italy 3D, which will accompany the excursion. Start with this view on which I manually set the journey. (There is to this end the automatic mode in Google Earth, but unfortunately the area on the park Fenera is obscured by clouds .... We want a new map !!!). I tried to give a perspective that simulates the angular difference and more can view a real airline.
As can be seen on social and light patches that interrupt the vast greenery of the woods, were recovered in good plots of land to the cultivation of terraced lives. Recovered, around the thirties may be said that the area surrounding the shrine was all dotted with vineyards, as can be seen in postcards of the period, while the industrial boom of the Fifties-Sixties riconvertitisi many farmers into workers lose or leave cultivation became unprofitable, starting a reconquest of territory by the woods. Nowadays, however, are widening the continuing trend that began crops around the eighties, thanks to the initiative of some fans who have started an activity that today is back profitable. Here we produce most of the DOC in Boca. The remainder of the vineyards lies just to the west, beyond the sanctuary in the area and down towards the Traversagna Cavallirio. Here we have the boundary of the park south of Mount Fenera, how can you highlight from the map, but the area of \u200b\u200bthe vineyards it is still an integral part. For this reason, the Park Authority, assisted dall'ATL Novara, to promote the area and its exploitation, has initiated the project "The paths of Boca" that were opened Sunday, May 3, 2009, as per the attached poster and articles .
The only complaint I have to do to the Park for this laudable initiative is not to have been made available on the Internet through its website, both the map and the contents of the posters that were placed on the territory in a pleasant and appropriate and that tell of the same characteristics. A nice illustration, the file could get to the delight of those who, like me, is always looking for ways to improve it. Can I post some pictures taken by my brother Eugene, who recently made the walks in the area and found the new signage installed. The first relates to the real map with marked trails from which you can, zoom in, get the points where are located the other boards and their contenuto.La second arrow shows one of the 80 signs that dot the path and which are positioned indeed in the appropriate places so as not to lose the right path.
To complete the discussion of wine producers operating in the area and the second Oliviera Calderini, president of the park, nine, placed an excerpt from a brochure where other ones are referred to ten. In another detailed article Enogea, I suggest you read completely dedicated to wine producers of the high Novarese, they are referred to eleven, in the area of \u200b\u200bBoca. Anyone wishing to indulge themselves to visit their websites, it is reported addresses. It is really worth. Some are very well made and also describe techniques and historical notes of interest. A proper recognition and tribute, but I must do against Marcodini Joseph ("Pinin"), Paniga, father of Giancarlo, who currently manages the business started by his father continues. Having started from scratch at the beginning of the sixties, with a small bar, bowling club, tavern and then where you could eat snacks of beautiful salam 'd the duja, gave birth to the restaurant for wedding "From Paniga" become famous and sought after in those years. His son will continue his work and will further develop and give you a garment suited to the times, carving out an important niche in the restaurant business. But I remember Dad Paniga here, after having consolidated its restaurant business, the return to his rural origins with a renewed interest and a passionate dedication to his vineyard in Boca, around the late sixties early seventies. It was perhaps the first to understand what significance could have a renewed appreciation of wine that had ancient origins. Restoring the land available to him working on it at a good pace as if it were to become the main purpose of his activity. I remember that in those years brought us more often in the "cottage" of the vineyard to make portentous snacks, having completed the service of a wedding banquet. I at the time, and for at least ten years I was a waiter in his spare time (ie Saturday and Sunday during the period when she was still in high school, to acquire the hoards to my vices). And "Da Paniga" I lived many happy seasons. Pinin then had a spectacular human energy that, despite its occasional gruff at work, are expressed in thousands of commitments and social activities. But the passion for wine led him, even before the Boca take on the DOC, to develop that activity at large. And now the son continues its tradition of being able to thank you for a trailblazer. Even at today's wineries.

But what is really exhaustive and delighted to discover this is to go http://www.bocapiane.com/it/apertura/hp-i.htm . It 's the site of Christoph Kunzli, a Swiss man in love and moved to Boca from us for at least twelve years and has awakened in our own different winemakers desire to return to the land of Boca DOC to produce this excellent wine. For its part, has recovered from the woods several hectares of land and so, with great passion, gave birth to the vineyards of Le Piane, Montalbano, Mottosergo, Traversagna Valvecchi, how can you go to thrash out his blog and found the pictures that you posted, the changes that these areas have suffered since he started to diversify. Very interesting is also going to browse sub pages in the "Print", which is reported between t'altro video I post too; you can read all the newspaper articles that were interested in his work. The most recent and comprehensive is the New Wine Journal of 2010, signed by Michael Longo and owns land and tradition.
But it is time to return to our walk.
reach the square in front of the cemetery here in Boca and parked my car. We walk a few meters of the road that leads to the shrine and then turn immediately right onto the start of the route that will take us to the 778 reported cima Pelosa e da lì proseguirà fino ad intersecare il 777 presso la Croce del Teso.
Affrontiamo then a section of trail in the woods to go to emerge in a pianorino that leads to new and latest "creation" of the Swiss, the spectacular estate Valvecchi, the higher of its properties, almost 500 meters. And indeed she'll only after the wild woods and hills.
cross the estate, noting the work of early planting of the highest part, and then we enter the woods. Now the slopes become much more challenging. My baptism of fire with the roughness is starting now ... Losing ground and I detach myself from Eugene and Arnold, to catch his breath and to take advantage do some filming, but the admonition of brothers is always the same: "Come on !!!..."
After the first section of stairs, the trail levels off and then I rinfrancarmi.Bisogna, however, to overcome unexpected obstacles ...
Restored tract less hard, I hope that the rest is like the one just discussed, but when we leave the forest and I look up to see where we get to find that the slopes are even more prominent, I despair and seek help in understanding of the brethren "We're almost there ?..."
The day is beautiful and there is not even a breath of wind. Now the jacket is superfluous.
Fortunatamente c'è un short in light slope with which I "rest" but but a prelude to the final tear, only to see it, frightened me. I gather from the edge of the path the first club that happens to me and making me appoggiandomici and strength with him, I set out for the coveted bench that I see the rock just below the top to throw over andandomici literally, then take a breather for a couple of minutes .
soon recovered efficiency, I regained the camera and resume at the top with my brothers again wearing anoraks, because now here at the top of the fresh air feels, and how .
We intend to return, hoping to find the conditions of sharpening to afford a proper recovery. (Will not be easy ... now the plain is an almost continuous cover of smog).
take advantage of the nice site of the Alpine Association of Civil Defence Volunteers Maggiora, thanking Acerra-alpinimaggiora that gives permission to enter photos of their group took during the cleaning of the top Hairy in February this year. Fortunately there are still people who love their country and trying to keep it as beautiful as possible. Thanks to them, even if you do not know.
savor the summit for a while this beautiful view that surrounds us and I am now satisfied by the relaxing atmosphere, I do not remember already more than the pain of the climb. .. To be the first Sgambati after years of sedentary, I can be satisfied. We expected only the descent and I have a chip on these routes ...
To return to the path we choose, not numbered in the official map, which is marked as service difficulty is that the woods and then down alongside the stream of cells at high altitude, leads us to resort to cross the cycle path 793 that Maggiora porta vero il Santuario di Boca sfiorando gli abitati di Fuino e Marello, passando da Casa Conelli.
